On your way to Gulmarg make a quick stop to visit the Baba Reshi Shrine, which is dedicated to the revered saint, Baba Reshi. The saint served as one of the main courtiers during the reign of King Zain-ul-Abidin, King of Kashmir. This peaceful shrine dates back to the year 1480 and exhibits a perfect blend of Persian and Mughal architecture. Two main features of the shrine are the spire on the rooftop and the tomb, which is adorned with wooden works. The mosque is nestled on the slope of the mountains between Gulmarg and Tanmarg and is visited by locals and many discerning tourists each year.

St Mary's Church

Visit the 110 year old St Mary’s Church, which was built during the British rule and revamped in the year 2003. It was in the same year of renovation that the Church conducted Christmas Mass for the first time in 14 years. This lovely shrine has walls with grey stones while the roof is made of green tiles and adorned with tall alpine trees around it. St Mary’s Church is located adjacent to the beautiful Gulmarg Golf Club.
